I bumped up to 16 mg of Gabitril today and, boy, did I feel it. I felt pressure behind my eyes and was a little confused. I'm taking it for two reasons: 1. chronic headaches 2. anxiety. Its taking the edge off the headaches, but as for the anxiety, it has increased. So much that I have nearly succumbed to panic. I'm not sure what to do. Do I stop it? Or do I ride it out?

>If you stop it immediately, you will not know whether the adverse effects subside with continued treatment. It may also get more effective with time. So, I guess I'm suggesting you should persevere for a while.

Might try a mild benzo from your doc until anxiety lessens.

I'm hesitant to do that as both benzos and Gabitril work on GABA receptors. I don't want to go into a coma...

It has a really strange effect on my anxiety. For the first few hours my anxiety increased and then it decreased.
