Curcumin or CBD interactions with AD's anyone?

Posted by mtom on May 15, 2019, at 12:28:53

I have read that both curcumin (turmeric) and CBD Oil may interact with medications including antidepressants, based on impairing or competing for same liver enzymes (P450's).

My medication protocol has changed, not AD's but now taking another med for other condition, also added Turmeric, CBD Oil (medical prescription brand) and omega-3's about same time - and things have changed, and not for the better.

Anyone have experience?

Also posting to Alternative as involves botanical interactions.

I suspect it may be the Curcumin interacting. Some evidence of possibility in articles, but mostly gut feel and timing.....

Tried adding on Tumeric at night a couple of years ago, but the frightening nightmares were so intense, I became worried I was gonna wake up and have my hands around my wife's throat!

I immediately dropped Tumeric!

Man,,, I've tried so many supplements over the past few years with little to no success,,, I even believe some harm has been done.

I do take a prescription-strength Vitamin D pill once a week since I have a pretty low level.
