I will take it alongside abilify 4 mg which perhaps has a very minor antidepressant effect for me. I hope it works for me. I know the risks, the diet, and the possible side effects, but I am so tired and need help. I hope i can start living soon.
As an aside Ive taken myself off my Ativan for two weeks now and hope to stay off benzos. My anxiety is at its worst, but I hope doing so helps me regain mental clarity and memory soon.
Ill ideally post on this site my response the drug as it happens.

Good luck. Watch out for paranoia etc. and call your doctor at once if you have it. Nardil is heavily dopaminergic. I like that you want to get off the benzos. Nardil is a bit Gabaergic, it might help.

I just realized because my doc prescribed Zoloft at my last appointment, he will then require another washout period before starting the MAOI. I didnt even want Zoloft in the first place because I tried it in the past and it killed all sexuality I had and didnt help as far as I can remember. I feel like he keeps giving me the run-around. I wish he understood the extent of my decades-long suffering and just wanted to help relieve it.

Why does he do this? He does not explain his intentions or say much. I do not understand his actions and wonder what he thinks of me and my condition. I am hanging on by a thread, I am ready to begin my life, and I cannot wait around or have my mental state toyed with. I cant wait to move on and stop thinking about myself.

Well, Nardil and co. can set off bipolar disorder or psychosis. It does this more often than other antidepressants! And they are scared you eat something wrong. Since you could fix it with half a nifedipine out of your wallet its not such a big deal but many dont know that

That's a great observation.
All of my psychotic manias were associated with MAOIs. I found Nardil to be more potent than Parnate in that regard. My first mania was set off after taking Parnate + desipramine for 6 months. Those 6 months were great, though. It was the longest period of remission that I have had. I was very productive and found life to be fun and rewarding. I can still taste the feelings from memory. I actually read a book cover-to-cover. It was "The Dancing Wu Li Masters". I have only done that twice in my life.

Hi Scott, i also had an amazing time on MAOI+Wellbutrin for a while. I took so many so many supplements its a miracle i didnt get Serotonin syndrome. When i got off the supps i went a little hostile
This reminds me of Plato's allegory of the cave.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory_of_the_Cave
Hm. I wonder if it was worth seeing what life is meant to be like. Because now we are back in the cave.I don't know what's going on with me. See the other thread

But is life meant to be like this or is life just meant to reproduce as much as possible? I don't think evolution cares much about quality of life
This is the end of the thread.
