Concern for underlying infections=delusion!!????

Posted by Lamdage22 on April 2, 2019, at 7:36:17

Try to convince a psychologist that your depression & anxiety may be the result of an undiscovered infection. It's a lot of fun! It reminds you that they are brainwashed at university!

So for the first 3 days of Cefuroximaxetil I was really tired and after that anxious. I contacted a couple of doctors that also do alternative health. I wrote them a letter. I hope I will find somebody decent.

ugh. psych "professionals." they're...ridiculous, honestly. I remember when I mentioned, just in passing, having a seizure from Klonopin withdrawal, and my then-psychiatrist had a lil hissy fit. I mean, he muttered stuff under his breath, his face flushed red...it was crazy!

the talking ones aren't much better. blame your parents, blame yourself, its a psychotic disorder, you're making things up to get attention, you need xyz pill (they're not doctors!) and...and...

I'm frustrated, obviously. currently, the abilify helps a lot, but...I do hope for the day when I can taper off and say buh bye to the psych guild.

back to you...sorry about your situation. some cool alternative health methods came out of Germany, such as the Gerson Therapy. I don't know of much more than that...I've seen some small articles from German doctors on Orthomolecular websites, but that started in Canada.

I hope things get better for you.

Thanks, CE,

yeah, my psychiatrist had a hissy fit when I said I am looking for causes... I have too much hope in his opinion. My bad!

It's just awesome. Many psychiatrists would need a psychiatrist themselves if they applied the same logic to themselves as they do to their patients. Just saying. Your ex psychiatrist clearly needed a shot of haloperidol!

Well, if nothing else, that's good information for you. Have you asked to have a blood test? Those usually show infections and asking for something specific might be harder for your shrink to poo-poo. Why should he care if it's going to help allay your theory.

If my pdoc said you have too much hope, i would say and youre too incompetent, BYE

You must have hope and you must keep researching and advocating for yourself because who else will? Clearly not some of these lazy doctors.
