Maybe a fluke or completely coincidence, but I've been feeling emotionally well after a minor dental surgery. Midazolam was administered by injection. While the experience of being on it was dreadful and weird (I can't imagine lethal injection), I've been feeling just *well* for almost a week. It's really weird. Not hypomanic. Reasonably willing to leave the house. I expected to feel wretched.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Gives me an imaginative toehold into what ketamine might be like in that I feel ok and not crazy good.

hi. disinhibtion is not always fun. the benzodiazepines (and barbiturates...and meprobamate...) can destabilize mood, resulting in mood swings or just a nasty downward swing.
sorry about this. i had an acquaintance who was pre-treated for dental stuff with Halcion (yeah, I know...I didn't know they still made that stuff...), and she had a similar reaction. nothing dramatic, just...horrible mood, some anxiety, general unpleasant times.
i hope you feel better soon. :-)

I got it at the dentist's office. I was pretty buzzed and slept for two hours after the wisdom teeth where pulled.
