Not to be discouraging, but I don't think that med is going to take you very far. I don't know your history or symptoms so it really isn't accurate for me to say that. I say it merely because if you scan the landscape for patients who found that med really good for them, you won't find a lot.
I will say the antihistamine part of it offers some benefit. But that's another story for another day - inflammation related.
The anger is probably from the NE stimulating part of it, and the drowsiness is the receptor blocking and antihistamine. It is a very bizarre thing to feel tired and yet wired at the same time. Been there done that. So sorry you have to deal with that!
In my book there really is only one good antipsychotic worth its cost and that is Zyprexa. I know people hate the weight gain of it. I've just never seen any others work better or longer - anecdotally speaking.

Thanks for your reply and input bleauberry. What I like about this forum is that the posters seem knowledgeable.
Im reading clinical studies of seroquel for social anxiety and it doesnt seem effective. Not sure why pdoc chose this.. Im afraid to take it now because the last thing I need socially is to ward off people with my irritability or get in a car crash with my drowsiness. Social phobia is just the absolute worst as it is. I cannot function.
Maybe I wont take this med and just aim for Nardil when I go to my follow up next month. He seems surprisingly nice and patient and like he does want to help. I have bad luck with getting medical professionals and therapists who dont listen to me or underestimate me. Or Im just bad at expressing the severity of my condition and advocating for my needs.

Seroquel made me agitated at the beginning i lost a friend saying weird things in a phone conversation the first day i was on it, yet 2 weeks later it kicked in and worked for 2 months psychosis free this was in summer of 2004.
Now i also think the histamine effect of it caused my temporary fix cure... im infected with a lyme or another virus and its messing with my dopamine feeling depressed all the time but not psychotic thats where the anti psychotic kicks in Saphris.

All the atypicals I've tried have a paradoxical effect of making me very angry. Generally nixes paranoia unless I flip the eff out like I did on risperdal.
