are there non-controlled options for low mood/depression that -don't- carry the adverse effect profile of the ssri and ssnri durgs?
i was kinda thinking about asking for both remeron and wellbutrin, together. with abilify that's 3 drugs, which...im hoping will be the max for me. i think..wellbutrin is kinda stimulating, remeron could be very sedating...and i have to take abilify or some flavor tranquilizer, so...there ya go.
would that help me get a lot of bases covered (low mood, anxiety, sleep probs, concentration) without having to go for an ssri or an ssnri? or is remeron just as bad, just in a different class? tca and maoi drugs are -out-, for certain.ok. or...wellbutrin+buspar (Buspirone) ? does that happen? if so, does it help?
thanks in advance. :-)

wellbutrin and lexapro, i've had friends that were on it. Wellbutrin is stimulating, being a mild stimulant. Buspar wouldn't have an anti-depressant effect compared to remeron, or lexapro, but i'm not sure. .. buspar is a slight agonist of 5HT1A receptor, which is more targeted for suttling anxiety. It takes about 2 weeks to work. Remeron or even Paxil are good for anxiety. But it's just up you doctor on treatment options

You could try Wellbutrin by itself first, unless you have and found it causes anxiety and insomnia. Then remeron? What does your doctor think? My knowledge of medications is fairly limited.
