'Depression is very treatable'

Posted by Lamdage22 on October 10, 2018, at 4:45:36

So two thirds of the medications that can treat depression kill your sex life. Why do doctors tell the public that depression is very well treatable? I havent heard more b*llsh*t in my entire life.

You hear it everywhere.

I am sick and tired of this!

I wouldnt go that far but to me depression is only treatable with meds with significant side effects that suck more than the depression in the first place.

Like Anorgasmia, Psychosis or Weight gain.

You can 'treat' anything. It doesn't mean that the 'treatment' will work.

Treatable just means that there are 'treatments'.

it can be, I think they're resorting about the medications that could help. You also see ads on tv about depression and current meds for it.

Still there's ... there's alot of people that have not responded well to anti-depressants, and have gone through major heavy duty treatments. Psych records that are in hospitals definitely have cases

I was starting to feel half way sympathetic, thinking of treatments in much of the world, but then I got to 'You end up with Obama in the White House'. I'm not sure what the connection is there Obama seems fairly mentally well, in comparison to some before and after, back to Eisenhower. Perhaps his ego is too healthy, too full of himself.

But that is Michael Savage. Is he really a sea captain? I'd need to be convinced. I came across him once and left.

My ex-psych of whom I remain very fond once said of ADs 'They're just not good drugs'.

I thought I remembered him saying something like this in 2004. Curious about some other of his controversies, I just pulled up his Wikipedia page; and right there in the first sentence is his given name:

"Michael Alan Weiner"

Might explain a lot...
