https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SertralineThey say prozac does increase some levels of dopamine, but sertraline is actually, yes a dopamine reuptake inhibtor at 300mg......but of course serotonin raised too.....
i've been on prozac for 10 years and i've noticed benefits, feeling not in the dumbs, and being able to hold a feeling well-being, but ... maybe that could be a good switch, i've looked up prozac at 100mg-120mg, for treatment resistant depression, but i don't think ill ever go up that high
isnt that ironic? you would think most of the SSRi's cause cognitive impairment, but zoloct doesnt

I heard that to on swedish television. Something about it having empathogenic properties in high doses, and i just thought it was bs when he said it.
It was a year ago i think and now when you say this i understand where his thesis came from. Even as he was just talking bs and SRI's isn't by nature empathogenic substances, i can now understand what he means. Thanks for the info!

DRI* . Freudian slip!
SRI usually is empathogenic so my mind was somewhere else.

thanks :)
i took zoloft one time in 2003, and i only got to 100mg, then was switched to Prozac....
prozac indirectly can increase dopamine, but it's has no reuptake ability, mainly only with serotonin....but i've read zoloft is superior to prozac in treating severe depression, my depression is moderate, it's not dehabiliting but it creates a drag and a gloom, and it helped me get out of those pits
