A man suffering from dysthymia is interviewed. He's tried 20-30 antidepressants, and says his quality of life has improved due to Botox.

Unreal.
Absolute the craziest theory i've ever heard. If i weren't conspiratorial before, then now i'm definitely am.
If they said like "the botolinum is passing through the blood brain barrier and tells the dopamine to start flowing in your brain", then a would have maybe bought it.
And i understand the theory of "cheating" your brain into thinking your aren't angry or sad, but this is preposterous.
If anything this will ruin a whole generation of natural beautiful human beings...

But this is just me being negative...
I have high hopes for the nmda-antagonists and the neuro-steroids that are in development though.

Your facial expression can have a significant impact on your mood, and so can your posture. There's nothing at all crazy about this.

Yeah, the mechanism behind it is proven, i know.
If botox gets this attention we can end up in a even more appearance-obsessed society,
more teens will feel bad about they're body and face.I just don't buy it, i think that doctor is a very dangerous opportunistic man and not for a bit i believe that he is really trying to help people.
Just look at that man who injects botox every third month, he's clearly desperate, as we have all been or is right now, and an easy bait for a sociopath doctor who wants to get more attention to his b*llsh*t dangerous treatment of depression. It gets me very angry and i have the right to be offended..
