Hey yáll.
My triglycerides and cholesterol is higher than normal and i am wondering if Rexulti would be better than Zyprexa metabolically.
What do you think?

just going by wiki...akathisia is one of the top complaints, but it seems fairly clean w/ metabolic stuff.
Akathisia can be managed w/ benzos, gabapentin, massive b6 doses (according to some old research, anyway). I think remeron has been used for acute akathisia, too.
The only problem with suppressing/treating acute akathisia is that you could, I would think, get tardive akathisia, which is...dreadful, from what I've read.
But, yeah...akathisia is a problem, but the metabolic effects are not an issue.

The idea is that rexulti wouldnt give me akathisia.

i am still troubled by metabolic syndrome and i begin to worry. What i need is evidence, that Vraylar and Rexulti are less prone to weight gain and metabolic syndrome.
I need to convince my dr. I want to switch out Zyprexa.

Akathisia should be less common with Rexulti than with Vraylar or Abilify. However, it is important to know that Rexulti, like Abilify, is a partial agonist at dopamine receptors. Vraylar might be even more apt to produce akathisia than Abilify. I haven't seen enough people try Vraylar to know for sure.

Why don't you swap the seroquel out for perphenazine? I've had good results with this combo on weight. Its not that hard to keep down.
Or maybe the zyprexa for perphenazine. Not sure how that would work as I've never taken seroquel.
Just think your problem is your taking 2 APs with weight gain.
