Its not just that medications rarely solve the whole problem, its that over focus on the medication aspect can become counterproductive.
I know that, for me, employment is a big barrier to me feeling fully recovered. I am a math teacher unable to find meaningful permanent employment in Ontario, Canada (which has a massive glut of teachers).
Anyhow, yes, if you want to really get people fully recovered, you've got to attack it from multiple angles. Unfortunately, medications are the cheapest angle.

I like to distinguish between the terms "drug-response" and "recovery". A clinical response to drug treatment can produce remission, but one might require supportive psychotherapy or other psychosocial interventions in order to more completely recover from illness. It would be analogous to needing physical and occupational therapy after successful orthopedic surgery.

I hope you find something soon.
You should move to the USA before Trump builds a wall.

I know for a fact that NC has a shortage of teachers. Why lowest paid state. But better than nothing. Phillipa
