Hi
Ive read that Nardil is worse than the SSRI'S at affecting libido. Is this the same with Parnate as well considering that Parnate is more selective for MAO B(dopamine) than Mao A(serotonin). In a nutshell is parnate worse than an ssri at afffecting libido. Any advice would be much welcomed.PB

Untreated depression had an awful effect, however.

Thankyou for your input and i was pleased to hear that serotonin meds didnt screw up your libido but sad to hear that untreated depression did. As regards to anyone else who reads this post is Parnate(specifically of the MAOI'S) perhaps potentially worse than Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil etc for
decreasing libido and to what degree and whether arousal issues or ability to perform. thanks PB

- Depression tends to reduce libido.
- SSRIs tend to reduce libido, especially Paxil.
- MAOIs tend not to reduce libido.
I'm sure these descriptions are not universal.

I had decreased libido and also decreased physical stimulation effects from both SSRIs and Parnate. It sucks.

Hello.
I know this is 6 weeks old. But here it is. My libido was crazy on Parnate (in a good way). Could have been that it greatly improved my depression. Not sure.
