Better living through better circuitry

Just read an interesting article about developments in mapping neural circuitry, and techniques to stimulate specific neurons at actual brain speed. Hopefully---someday---treatment will target very specific neurons and neural pathways (with either brain-speed electrical impulse input or with chemicals that do so) instead of targeting approximate areas of the brain with chemicals and slower electric inputs. It's probably a very long way off, but it is still nice to know that someone is working on it.

I envy you your ability to read such a long article.

Thanks. :) Mostly read in a waiting room! What else is there to do?
Btw, just google Karl Diessenroth and you'll find other references, including some more succinct ones.
