Tiagabine is a gaba reuptake inhibitor. Thus is will increase gaba at all gaba receptor subtypes.

I havent tried phenibut but i have tried picamilon which is a similar nootropic. I dont really believe in natural supplements for great effect unless they are taken in higher than recommeneded doses but thats just my opinion. I really appreciate the information you passed on regardiung tiagabine but what was the source. is it a page on the net or in a book. could you provide a link or a book that details this information because it was my understanding that tiagabine was selective for GAT1 which must mean it is selective for certain subtypoes of GABA receptor. BYW have you bried it. is it like a benzo or more llike pregabalin.
good to hear from you cheers paulb

Hi,
For tiagabine, I just looked on Wikipedia.
As for supplements. I have tried many. Phenibut is very good comparatively. It has primary actions on calcium channels (chemically related to gabapentin) and gaba-b receptors. Actually, it was just discovered this year, that phenebut is active and stronger on calcium channels than gaba-b.

phenibut work probably work well with gabapentin or npregabalin as for it blocking calcium cannels that could help as a mood stabiliser
