i've noticed mainly, not directly but alot of the times in the past i would get vary in a dark mood, and melancholy about things for no reason, i would think about a situation and make a darkness over myself about it.......but when i first started prozac i noticed some mood lift, but at 80mg it seems to really act like a catch net to not let me fall into dark and sorrowful states
in a way it's a relief, because i know that dark mood thinking nothing but heartache, i would just.....think of a tragic situation and compare it to life situation. Think about a tragic, sorrowful, like ill think ahead when my relatives pass away, and totally make a horrible mood drop in sorrow
so.......i am noticing improvement, it's not a major mood lift but i can tell it's wiping out depression states, even though prozac is not the strongest or the best, it is working......
serotonin and some dopamine have increased

In reply to prozac is starting to work, posted by rjlockhart37 on October 12, 2015, at 20:57:00
RJ,
I'm glad to hear that you seem to be noticing more from your Prozac now that you're taking 80 mg of the medication. It's always good to hear from those who are making gains in the treatment of depressive disorders, and I hope that the high dose of Prozac that you're taking will continue to work well for you.
