Hello.
I'm now entirely sure on how Seroquel affects the serotonin receptors. However, I know it increases in some and decreases in others.
I'm affraid of being too much serotonin and causing some intoxication (serotonin syndrome symptoms).
Couldn't find any reports on 5-HTP supplementation along with Seroquel on the internet.
I'm taking 50mg Seroquel at 11pm and I intend on supplementing 100mg 5-HTP at 2pm.
What do you guys think? Would it be harmless and I would still get benefits from 5-HTP?Seroquel has been making my mood awful... I miss 5-HTP.

Seroquel can make you so damn groggy and irritable!
Seroquel does agonize 5ht1a receptors but your risk of getting serotonin syndrome by adding 5htp is very small. I've taken antidepressants at high doses with Seroquel.

I take 300 mg/day of Seroquel with 100 mg/day of 5-HTP. Never noticed any adverse effects of the combination but I haven't noticed any benefit either since I added the 5-HTP.
