Can you combine Aurorix (RIMA) with Lamictal?

Posted by kilo8 on August 7, 2015, at 21:07:40

Does anything speak against this?
I think there are even people who take a real MAOI and Lamictal. Then Aurorix + Lamictal should also be possible right?

I am too scared of a real MAOI so I thought I might try Aurorix.

I have never heard of a contraindication for combining a MAOI with Lamictal. I have been combining MAOIs with Lamictal for over 15 years. If you haven't begun Lamictal treatment yet, be sure to follow the titration schedule recommended by the manufacturer. There may still be starter-packs available.

Having a healthy respect for the dangers involved in taking MAOIs is a good thing. You need to commit to following the rules. However, the diet restrictions are often exaggerated.

This is a good list of foods to be avoided:

Its alot of effort and time some of you put into your meds. If you put some of that diligence into other things you may be pleasantly suprised.

It only takes me a few seconds to take my meds every day. A few minutes to fill the scripts once a month. Not much time there...

What "other things" have you found to be effective?

Golf and Fitness.

It may be something different for every patient, but these things help.

I didnt originally plan to make this post in this thread.

Sorry.

I agree, and even something simple such as a brisk walk every other day is very helpful.

I used to play golf, but I wasn't very good! Still, it can be fun, but frustrating at times. If it's not a super long course, I always preferred walking as opposed to riding around in a cart.

I've always wanted to learn to play tennis.

What sports do you like?

I have taken moclobemide and lamictal together. 900 mg moclobemide and 200 mg lamictal. It was fine.

Sports are excellent. Especially if you are passionate about it. It may seem extremely difficult to get started when you are feeling depressed and down, but the rewards are huge.
