Seems I finaly stable now. Taking 20mg teva olanzapine and 24mg sandoz perphenazine. Just had anouther pdoc visit last week and no changes to anything.
Work is going well. I'm not drinking as much as I used to, 2 a day now, but not every day. No pot in last 5 months, but in the last 2 days had cravings, ugh. Just feeling sort of content, up till then. Why can't I just get over the pot?! Watching shows about it on TV and making me want it. Wish it were legal.
Anyways..
Oh ya, the only thing doc said was to exercise more. So I went 2 days in a week. Instead of the once a week.
Yes and I try to eat healthy now, and my weight has not gone up in the last 3 years or so. I've actualy lost about 25 lbs. Eating healthy meaning high fiber low bad fats(sat) and lots of veggies. Lots of protine too. The healty eating keeps my apatite down and weight too. Even with the 20mg olanzapine! I don't take anything for weight loss. Like metformin diet pills or stims. I do take tyroid med. and niacin er. Can't belive I take so much olanzapine and not gain weight? Oh yess, and I mainly drink red wine for the last 7 months. White for the year before that. Also still doing the vapeing, and only one real cig a day now for the last year.
Anyways I'll post more later!

By the way.. I'm up for a review, for disability, SSDI. I sort of hope I don't get it. I'm stable on my meds NOW. And probably capable of working full time. Doc tells me not to, because If I lose it I won't be able to get back on it. And what if I go psychotic again? I think to myself If I could only just get the olanzapine all the time it would not happen. Thats how I ended up on SSDI in the first place pdoc put me on abilify and would not let me off and then the zyprexa was not working because of the abilify canceling its effects. So now I'm on twice the z as before abilify.
But anyways, is that a good enough reason to be on SSDI? Guess I will find out but .opinions?.
Not to mention my current pdoc tried to give me a med wash out back 3 years ago, which took me a long time to recover from once back on the same meds as before. Not to mention I almost totaly lost it back then .. I was doing poorly at my job and supprised I did not lose it. Good thing I didn't let her put me on any new APs then. She did offer abilify... Plus she left me on an encrdably low dose of my meds, or I'm sure I would be out of work or on the streets or in the mental hospital. That was when I started smoking pot again. Personaly I think the whole thing could have been avoided. I did get some good out of it, I delt with a lot of my issues, inside my head at the time. But I did almost get suicidal, and want to smoke crack..
Why does zyprexa make it easy to give up bad habbits?

I am all but sure that this is incorrect.
Call SSA or look on their website.

I think Scott is right. You can get coverage again. Not sure what hoops you'll have to jump through. This might help.

zyprexa makes me feel.....passive, like things tha would make me go hay wire, don't tend to bother me, it's not like it's a benzo, but it provides some relief......and maybe it makes you just ... like not care about bad habits.....
i've been on zyprexa for .. 8 years.....and it does provide stablity, but also makes things move kinda slow.....

Isn't that slow kind of nice? So you don't have rapid thoughts all the time. Wearing you out.

Would it be wise to do this if I'm only working at Dominos pizza as a driver? The way I calculate it I might make the same or less if working 40 hours a week. I'm part time now. yes it would be sga but also less money. Because of taxes.
Also I'm worried about losing medicare. I finished the TWP 5 years ago. And have not been above sga since.
Also don't know how well I would do sleep wise if working FT. In the past when working FT I was tired a lot at work and had a hard time getting up in the morning for work. Constantly late. And no a diff AP is not the answer. I did keep the jobs. It was just hard.
This is the end of the thread.
