Hi folks, I just popped in to search for reports on Fetzima. I started it about six weeks ago, swapping out Cymbalta for Fetzima. So far it's a bit more tolerable than Cymbalta. I'm noticing much less sexual side effects, better sleep, better energy, and clearer thinking. Unfortunately it does not seem to help with chronic pain and hot flashes like Cymbalta did. I have a bit more pain and a lot more sweating.
I'm still not sure of the mood effects-- I was too high for a bit, then felt good, now dipping again. Cymbalta was pooping out on me in terms of mood lift. Ah well I will keep on it for another month at least.
I'm interested to hear if anyone else is on it and how they're doing.

my doc is trying to figure out a new med (AD ) for me to go on and mentioned Fetzima today (and Brintellex). i didn't want to make any changes this week as i'm going out of town this weekend. but i told her i need to start new next week. so i'll see which one she decides. on. i think she was really leaning to Fetzima.
(i agree).
i just know i need something.thank you for your report of how you feel on it.

Cymbalta is great for pain, isn't it? I think fetzima is approved for fibromyalgia...but I'm not positive that's right. Is it possible to combine cymbalta with fetzima (at a lower dose of cymbalta?) to cover both mood and pain? Good luck tabitha.

Hi! Yes I found Cymbalta made a big improvement in pain levels. I don't think Fetzima is approved for pain conditions yet, but my pdoc wanted to give it a try anyway since they're both the same type of drug (SNRI). I did think about taking both, but so far the pain level I have is manageable with occasional tylenol. It's still a lot better than when I was not on any SNRI.
