Hi guys,
Two weeks ago I cut my dosage of 50mg Seroquel (quetiapine) in half. I substitute with Dhea 7,5 mg & Pregnenolone 10 mg. As promised, here is my update.
Most notable psychological effects:
- slight increase emotional sensitivity
- slight increase ruminating over passed wrongs
- slightly quicker to anger
- slight decrease in hours of sleep (but still manage to get 7, 8 or more)
- but to my surprise, still feeling sociable & even seeking out social interaction
- slight increase in happy moments
- more in tune with movies, books, activities, etc.
Most notable physical effects:
- decrease in appetite from day 1
- less urine retention (have to pee more)
- easier to loose weightSo far so good, I'll stick to this regime for now.

>Thanks for the update!! I'm on 50 and may go down at some point. I've been on various dosages over the years so good to hear from someone who has dropped from what I'm on (50) to what I'd prob go to (25).
Continued luck!

Hi Peter,
Thanks! Good luck to you 2.
Mind you, I have added Dhea & Pregnenolone as substitutes, not sure if I'd make it without them, specially in the 'sleep department'...

seroquel can have alieving effects, i took seroquel and the sedation was high, but you know people are differnt
im on zyprexa, it has a calming effect, but i've noticed over 5 years of taking it makes me slow, and calmy dalmy all the time, it relieves agitation but slows things down
ask your doctor to work with you on the seroquel mg
