I think it's probably better to increase the dose of the ssri you tolerate the most rather than switch to an ssri just because it inhibits more serotonin per mg.

prozac i don't is the most potent, but it provides a uplift effect compared to other antidepressants, it also increases dopamine and NE slightly which as the ohter SSRIs don't act on

I remember reading somewhere that paxil was the strongest in terms of highest inhibition of the serotonin transporter per mg.

Takes the spontaneity out of it but its better than being about 20% more depressed.

Belive strongest is either paroxetine, but the most selective for solely the sert transporter is escitalopram. As the above stated and from my personal experince(with the lexapro), extreme instantaneous impotence occured for me after just 5 mg of lexapro......ended up giving up haha
