Hi. I've been trying different nootropics for a couple of years now. I suffer with TRD & SP. So far the best one I've found is centrophenoxine. I started it a few weeks ago at 1500mg/day, along with citicoline 500mg/day which I was already taking. Will try it on its own when the citicoline runs out.
Anyway, It seems a great mild psycho stim with (for me) no side effects.Gets better with time without building tolerance. Keeps my mind clear, I'm more talkative and upbeat so appears somewhat antidepressive.
I've read about another nootropic called Aniracetam. I found this:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11412837Is it saying possible relief from Social phobia/awkwardness? Any experiences?

Thanks for the info. What country are you in? If I could only get a Pdoc that was educated. I'm in USA and the healthcare here is atrocious. How do I get my Dr. to prescribe these?

I'm in the UK and I buy nootropics from the internet. I assume this is absolutely legal. My doc does not prescribe them, though I do let him know what I'm taking

Thanks for the tip. I tried picamilon couple of times but without much effect. I wouldn't take it now as I'm currently taking clonazepam with some positive effects. But only some. Depression is a big issue right now. Inositol 8-12g per day used to help. Think I'll try it again.
Nootropics are quite expensive to buy. But it looks like I might have to try Aniracetam myself anyway. Keeping the centrophenoxine as the main choline source. Many nootropics have been released in the past with various brand names. Would be great if I could get them on script. Next app in 5 weeks. I'll see what he says & post it.
This is the end of the thread.
