I'm out of treatments to try and i am suffering. no i haven't had Deep Brain Stimulation or Vagus Nerve Stimulation, but i can find no way to have those done. i don't really have faith in VNS anyway. i just feel so lost. i don't know what to do...

Have you tried alternatives,like picamilon and magnolia tree bark extract. I found those to be helpful for anxiety. Traditional Chinese herbal medicine might help, though I am not an expert in that field.

I haven't tried the 2 things you mentioned. but i have tried various herbs like Maca Root and various others. What im dealing with is a Mirapex induced depression. i went through this before with Adderall some years ago and Cyproheptadine helped me get over it in like a week. but this time with Mirapex messing me up, i had to take Cyproheptadine for a couple of months, slowly raising the dose like every 3 days bacause a lower dose would stop helping.. and i slowly got better and better. but i ended up reaching a dose that was MUCH too high.
basically i believe the problem is Mirapex caused my brain to stop producing its own dopamine and that Cyproheptadines 5ht2c antagonism indirectly took the brakes off dopamine, causing my brain to slowly be more able to release its own dopamine again.I've had severe, unbearable anhedonia...

Ever try reqip? I ask as a former poster here takes it with other meds and is doing okay. Back working. I believe it's dopamine. Not sure though? P

Yes I've tried Requip as well. I've tried sooo many different meds over the past 5 years. my dopamine seems just unresponsive. i don't even get the numbing feeling from SSRI's anymore. no response to wellbutrin, adderall, or ritalin either. and i just can't really enjoy things anymore.
i don't have much faith in meds anymore... I've tried so many different ones over the past 5 years.

Yeah its just complicated. I've slowly been using up all of my ideas, and am about out of ideas for treatment. Things have been getting pretty scary.
I've started doing ECT again. it helps in some ways but i still have some pretty severe difficulty with feeling joy in things. i just want to be capable of having a healthy relationship again.

Have you ever tried tramadol? It's a pain medication but apparently people are using it off label for depression.

Hmm... Tramadol... very interesting. I'm about to start seeing a pdoc who might just prescribe something like Tramadol to me. But then again, i used to experience a pleasurable effe t from acute use of Tianeptine, and i no longer feel that effect now that it seems my dopamine system is basically dead. and there is word that Tianeptine stimulates the opiate receptor along with its Serotonin Reuptake Enhancement.. So, maybe i won't respond to an Opiate anymore either. I know others are often able to switch to another med in the sane class when another med in that class stops working, but but that's never how its been for me.
So now i think i want to see if i can get a hold of the 5ht2a/2c antagonist Ritanserin. and hopefully be able to take it in very high doses since its not an Antihistamine like Cyproheptadine.

Cyproheptadine used to work great for me. but low doses of it stopped working abd i had gotten to a way too high dose of it. a dose so high it would likely kill me if i took that high dose without being tolerant to it.
