I don't know a lot about glutamate, but I'm reading that both are primary targets of Viibryd (which is new for me...a switch from the Celexa of 10+ years) and Lamictal (8 or so years at 200mgs)
Halfway through the day (after lunch) I am becoming a zombie with reduced cognition. Then I can't sleep at night and can't wake in the morning. Cut back on the Viibryd (40 to 20) which seemed to help and down to 150 of the Lamictal (half my nighttime dose=better sleep)
Now I have this terrible fluey feeling that I've associated with changing my lamictal dose or the manufacturer, but it feels worse. I'm sleeping 12 hrs a day too. Could be a viral thing too I guess.
Does anyone know how the two pull on the glutamate system? Also taking ritalin or vyvanse to stay awake, and small doses of Klonopin for social anxiety and concentration.
