Pristiq with reboxetine- take both at same time?

Just curious if there would be any risks with this. Pristiq 50mg. Thinking reboxetine would help give more of an epinephrine boost.

It should be safe, but I don't know how effective reboxetine is compared to desipramine or nortriptyline. Reboxetine has a reputation for being an inferior antidepressant.

What about raising Pristiq to 100 mg/day and adding Wellbutrin 300 mg/day?

Isn't 50 mg of Pristiq the recommended dose or is that starting dose? Phillipa

My dr is reluctant to put me up to 100mg Pristiq based on the studies that 50mg is more effective and 100mg the very top dose.

I really think it is the NE for me that makes the difference but Wellbutrin didn't work for me at all, I tried it twice. High doses of Effexor worked well for me in the past. So far Pristiq is "smoother" than effexor, less side effects, and it IS working but not quite well enough.

I know real people for whom 100 mg/day is necessary in order to sustain full remission. Drug companies sometimes low-ball recommended dosages in order to demonstrate reduced side effects.

Yes. Several people have characterized Pristiq as being superior to Effexor in the ways you describe.

Reboxetine is a norepenephrine reuptake inhibitor, not an epenephrine(adrenaline) booster.
