Is it legal to give your medication (non controlled) to an individual who possesses a legal prescription for that exact medication?
I am looking to try and donate medication to somebody who takes the exact same medication who has a legal prescription for it.

Friend? They say no but why not? If want to donate at least here they will not take prescriptions back. Even if you decided you didn't want it and never took one. Is Canada different? I don't know. Phillipa

I often give away meds that some one else is taking or take meds from others that don't need them anymore. I've told my doctors about this and none of them have ever had a problem with it.

It's illegal, but if that's all you've done that's illegal, no one would prosecute you for it-- assuming you don't give them huge amounts and that they don't turn around and sell it.

Likely not legal...but I've done it...when atypicals cost $500 or more a month, and I had some extra I gave some to a friend, I see nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't give a med to someone who hadn't tried it before...they could have an allergic reaction, you could be in big trouble, not to mention feel bad. herpills
