How many lbs did you gain on Remeron before your weight stabilized? Does the weight stabilize or do you just keep getting fatter until you get off of it?

I was on it for about six months and gained about twenty pounds. I was ravenous the whole time I was on it. I was exercising a lot, which probably kept me from gaining even more weight.

Wow, that gives me hope. Doses below 30 usually cause the most weight gain

Thanks so much, do you think it was the excess calories alone or a metabolic problem? Were you counting calories when you were on it?

I don't know if it had an effect on my metabolic rate. I do know that I ate a lot more while on it.

Okay, thanks Hugh. Hopefully, I can take something to counteract the appetite increase once I'm skinny enough to start Remeron again. I'm dying for sleep at this point.

I slept nine hours a night on Remeron, but it wasn't a refreshing sleep. I'd wake up feeling groggy, and my head wouldn't clear until the afternoon.
