Remeron is the only drug that helps me sleep at least 6 hours a night and I've tried everything else. Trazodone works, but causes extreme joint and muscle pain. Has anyone taken Remeron and not gained weight? I recently lost 24 lbs and I really can't be that fat again.

ive heard of people not gaining weight. I did gain, but I took it with Zoloft, and I took 7.5mg a day. I now take a crumb of it occ for sleep, and ur right, it's excellent for sleep. I value my sleep above all else for my mental health. But I also cant be fat and happy, so that's why I take it only when necessary, which, so far has not been nightly. I also hike 4mi a day now.

Um - not really. I take some supplements which tend to supress appetite however (vitamin d, green tea, cocoa, coffee etc).
If you are using it primarily for sleep, you can use doses as low as 3.75 (or less). For sleep, I combine low doses of remeron with melatonin and magnesium.

Hmm, I'll look into appetite suppressants. Thanks for letting me know.

Link, thanks for that suggestion. It sounds like the perfect combo for insomnia.
