Hi brk23 (Willyee, right?),
I think that getting a lot of responses on this board can sometimes be difficult. I only post to this board occasionally myself, partially because I feel like I don't have much more to gain from medications myself, but also because I just don't have the answers to a lot of the questions that get posed here. Those could be some reasons why you're not getting as many responses to your posts as you'd probably like to. Another reason that might explain why posts don't oftentimes don't get a lot of responses is that a lot of those who post here are still struggling with whatever disorder or disorders they might have and might be more likely to ask for support than to provide it. I myself am still struggling to an extent, although I'm hoping that I'll see long-term results from the vitamin D that I've decided to start taking yet again.
I don't think that it necessarily reflects badly on you that you're not getting as many responses to your posts as you'd like. Some questions that have a definitive answer aren't likely to get more than a few responses. Questions that seem to be more open-ended (such as those asking for recommendations for medications about whatever condition the questioner is suffering from) are probably going to get more responses because different people are going to give different answers. I do think it's kind of natural to feel a bit lonely when we don't get a lot of responses to our posts. After all, we humans seek and need interaction for our psychological well being. However, I don't think that that means that those who don't get a lot of responses to their posts are cursed.
At any rate, I hope that you're doing well, and I also hope that perhaps the responses that you'll get to this thread will help to ease any feelings of being alone that you may be having.

hi brk23-
i know the feeling.
not here really, but on a car forum i'm on. it's mostly british guys. i'm like is it because i come from a sunny place and you guys get a week of summer? lol i doubt that.
i take it very personal when i don't get any responses. there, here, or even in the real world. it's hard, but i would suggest trying not to take it personally. cliche' i know. but people like us can be easily bummed-out when we perceive possible lack of attention from others. or worse; rejection.
it really is a mind game with oneself. sigh.
again, i would try not to 'read' too much into the lack of responses one gets on any type of forum.
finally, this is such a small group really. sometimes a post gets buried. while other posts seem to catch on fire. nra anybody? ;)
i'll look for your posts in the future.
you are not alone.

tomatheus-
off subject here...
you really should contact some periodicals/magazines/etc.
i say start with 'psychology today.' :)
you have a real gift for writing. and, you put into words what many of us feel, but cannot describe as eloquently as you do.
just a suggestion, but i am serious.

don't worry about it, sometimes it is how the post is posted, and if people can relate to it, like...similar experiences, i've posted long long posts, and no one responded, and other posts i thought could of got responses, and none....
you not a virus, your a unique human being, don't let anyone else imply otherwise, that or don't listen to their mean opinions, thats what i do....
:)
