I am a advocate of xyrem,ghb for social anxiety and avoidance.However its expensive and not easy to get,i read the combo of lyrica and bacoflen is used to replace it as bacoflen hits ghb receptor sites.
I tried finding a link where bacoflen shows to be used as a mood stablizer so as to have a reason to ask for it,also im looking for it to have anti ocd effects,can anyone fill me in on their experience with using bacoflen,how it feels,what it helps etc.Thanks

Two years ago I was taking a high dose of baclofen (75-100 mg a day) for muscle spasms in my lower back. It had the unexpected side effect of eliminating my depression and anxiety. But after a week, it started to cause terrible insomnia, so I stopped taking it. I later tried taking it at a lower dose, but it didn't work nearly as well as the high dose, and it started to aggravate my mitral valve prolapse. I'm extremely sensitive to stimulants, so most people could probably take baclofen and not experience the insomnia I did with it. In fact, some people report that their sleep improves on baclofen. One way it may improve mood is by increasing striatal levels of dopamine. An excellent book about baclofen is The End of My Addiction by Olivier Ameisen. If you take baclofen long-term, it should not be stopped suddenly. It should be tapered, otherwise it could cause seizures. Also, it causes somnolence initially, but this side effect usually fades away a few days after increasing your dose. So it's a good idea to not drive until the somnolence passes.

Thanks,yess it is said to be a ghb substitute and ghb was known for having anti withdrawal symptoms from various drugs in most acholol.
Also ghb was known to be stimulating to some so that was prob the case with your use of bacoflen.Thanks for the response.

Baclofen is not FDA approved for any psychiatric condition.

That doesent mean much,most no i think all anxiety medications or as we know them benzos are approved for actual anxiety with exception of i think xanax.
Mood stabilizers as well,i think everyone of them are again seizure drugs,so not sure what point your making.Im not fond of you eric,i was a active poster in your google group days,and i was horrified how youd treat people,sometimes breaking people down who were new for no reason at all,so your response here doesent surprise me,i know its a free board and you can post to me all you want,but with the terror i remeber you put people through id rather you stay many posts away from me at all times,your only here behaving cause google groups went dead,or youd still be there spewing racist hate crimes and tearing people down for no reason.
