I started Fetzima about five days ago and it's amazing for energy. But I can't sleep and it started to make me angry. Last night I couldn't sleep and despite 1 ambien and 5mg of xanax still couldn't sleep. Then this morning I was so tired at this roller coaster that decided to take 4 mg xanax and two Ambien and see if I could sleep. I stay up all day finishing a painting that's taken forever for me to work on it. At 8 took another 2 xanax and 1 ambien wiTH GLass of wine and only slept for an hour. It' 3:41 am and still can't sleep. Took several more xanax don't even know how many anymore and found some Geodon and took it. I swear the xanax which were by mail order are like sugar pills. I think the norephinephrine in Fetzima makes me not care what happens to me. I used to be very cautious. Hopefully I will sleep some.

Are you bipolar?
If you are, I'm pretty sure the Fetzima is destabilizing your mood, pushing you into mania.

Thanks for responding. No, I'm not bipolar though I sure sounded like I was in a manic state. I honestly don't know what happened but I think it was a combination of weaning off Lexapro and Abilify and adding Fetzima. I finally got some sleep and have been feeling fine; not great but not too bad. It's been one week since I started Fetzima and it is great for energy. I'm painting again and finally organized my studio. I've had a few crying spells but they have been weirdly welcomed since while on Abilify, I couldn't cry. I hope this drug does for my depression what it has done for my energy levels. If not, I'm at the point of giving Rtms a try despite its cost. Hope you're doing well.

Today hasn't been a particular good day. I only feel a temporary upswing when I take Adderall (no ADHD) though the depression still remains in the background.
The energy from Fetzima seems to be waning and mood continues its eternal down slope. My husband and I have decided it's time to go the rtms route. So I lose 10 grand, just to what if...Thanks for your response

Are you still on Fetzima? I got irritable every time I started a stimulating med, but I found given time the irritability fades and the AD effects kick in. I took Savella for over a year. It is a good AD and doesn't cause cognitive side effects as some SSRI's do. I stopped because of heart problems.

No, I'm no longer taking Fetzima. It was too activating. I decided to give TMS a try. I'm on day 9 and so far no changes. I also went back on Lexapro and Abilify with the hope I can reduce their dosage or completely eliminate them if TMS works. Good luck to you.
