nuvigil approved from insurance

Posted by rjlockhart37 on January 17, 2014, at 11:58:16

its been approved, but the down side now is the copay is going 120 dollers....its crazy....

my mother and stepfather are going to pay for it but im going to have to take it once and while to save money, somedays not take it to make it last to not be so expensive.

the medications im on : prozac, lamictal, zyprexa, nuvigil are the cocktail and their all at fairly high doses....lamictal is 400mgs with prozac 60mgs and i have to say, its the only cocktail i have for ADHD, my doctor refuses to admit i have ADD, and says i want to only get amphetamine stimulants, which is not true....but the high doses of other meds are the only thing i have to fight the nuerotransmission degregulation, prozac and nuvigil are for the ADD and concentration part...

does anyone have a say so about this? these meds are not ADD meds, but their the only thing i have.....

the diagnosis i have had over the years:
1998-2010 was ADHD....
2003: depression
2004: manic depressive, mood swings
2005: anxiety disorders
2008: Asperger's syndrome
2010: schizoeffetive
2012: disorganized schizophrenia

and the current is being treated for manic depressive states with the meds im on.

i would need some advice on this....i do have ADD, but the doctors refuse to treat it and say its other things, bipolar, schizoeffective. I do NOT have disorganized schizophenia....the reason i was i diagnosed this was through a state program called DARS, they did a long psych assesment...and came through wtih disorganized schizo, that diagnosis is not valid, if i had that i would be seriously having other problems, serious problems

so thats all i can explain....ed-uk?? SLS what do thiink about this? any suggestions?

r

RJ - did your parents buy you insurance? Haven't you aged out of the coverage on a family policy?
