I'm thinking of simplifying my med regimen again. Right now I take 4 meds: Cymbalta, Buspar, Zyprexa & Invega Sustenna injection. I'd like to stop Zyprexa & Buspar. Any thoughts on this change?

How did you decide that those are the meds you want to stop?
First of all, I think it's important to make small reductions rather than actually stopping anything - assuming your doctor agrees that it's safe for you. This way, you can easily increase again if things go awry. Less is not always best, but it sometimes is. Shame there's not some easy formula for working out what meds we need.

I've decided to stop taking Zyprexa b/c I already take an antipsychotic, Invega Sustenna. Buspar b/c I don't think it does anything for me. I wasn't really too anxious to begin with.

I've been okay. Hearing voices a lot. The beach is cold. I want to simplify my med regimen, see if that helps me. Hope you're well. Peace.

I'm with you, you may of course need to adjust the dose of Invega as you reduce Zyprexa.

Actually I'm just stopping the buspar. I'm afraid that my psychosis might get worse if I stop taking Zyprexa.

Stopping BuSpar is rarely difficult, but no psych med should be stopped abruptly, so taper gradually and see you doctor as soon as you can.
