I've been on clomipramine hcl for the last 4 weeks. The first 2 weeks were on 50mg, and the last 2 weeks have been at 75mg. I feel like I've gotten a pretty positive response, mood and anxiety-wise, but oy vey! The fatigue! I can deal with the other side effects such as dry mouth, mild constipation and sweating, but this fatigue... I struggle to get through the work day. Does anyone know how long this fatigue is going to last? Will it ever go away?
Thanks!

It will reduce, but not necessarily disappear. For sure, I would avoid any further dose increases until it has improved. Among the tricyclic antidepressants, clomipramine is unusually potent, there is often no need for high doses. If your fatigue continues after 2 more weeks and your mood is still improved, it may be possible to reduce back down to 50mg while maintaining the response.

You shouldn't be so fatigued. Are you on anything else?
