If you have made a medication change of any kind lately, "word loss" is likely until you are adjusted to it. For me, it's worse with anti anxiety meds. I can do alright eventually on a keyboard, but writing longhand becomes looooonghaaand. And a bit dyslexic. d/b/ p words are problematic.
It's as if I have taken a stupid pill or have turned into the man from "Flowers for Algernon".Topamax made me into Stupamax. Jeez, lots of the meds I have tried have made me lose my marbles. If it doesn't improve, back to the doctor I go. And have fun dialing the number.

English spelling is really hard and it's not surprising if we forget it. And then, what with one thing and another......

I've got the same problem. I will sit there for hours trying to get the spelling to get accepted by the spell checker. Other times I can just do it. I've been a bad speller my whole life. Not to mention my learning disability in reading and writing I was diagnosed with as a kid.
Don't know what the answer is.

you should talk about this to you p-doc.
i was on seroquel back in the day, it was the ONLY thing that touched my inability to get to sleep which was horrible. i think i was at 100 or something. anyway about a month or so into it one day i realized i was sitting at my desk, talking through my instructions to myself out loud. i would say things like "put the file in XX folder....wait wha'ts a file..."
ya... i was in IT at the time, THIS was a problem. My Pdoc told me it was called 'cognitive blunting' and that he had seen it many times in some of his patients.
i was taken off it, and it did take a couple weeks or so before i was back to 'normal'. But it was a terrible feeling. i would spell words like "what" and ask myself... is that REALLY how thats spelled? it doesn't seem right.if you are cognitively aware of how things should be but seem to be having more motor function issues, this too should be addressed.
Best Wishes.
