I have schizoaffective not schizophrenia but I beleive one of my meds (Saphris) is a schizophrenia medication that has some antidepressant properties.
One of the other meds, Wellbutrin is an antidepressant.

Im thinking low dose lamictal perhaps.
It did make me stupid and made hairloss, BUT while i took it, i had no psychosis and i wasnt on any antipsychotic.
50mgs?
This is why i have hopes for Sarcosine to help me. Because Lamictal did and N-acetylcystein does.
Sorry Phillipa for stepping on your toes in the other thread!

Trimipramine. Good for sleep, somewhat similar to clozapine. High doses have been studied as monotherapy for psychotic disorders with OK results. Since its calming/soothing, I would think you could take it without activating a psychotic episode.

Hi Jan, how're you?
I have discovered that the asthma wasnt asthma, it was a side effect of the Rentitec i take for high blood pressure - I read on the internet that 1 person in 10 on it gets a persistant dry cough thatwont go away. Stoped the Rentiec and within 2 days the cough was gone, started it again and it was back. Doc has changed me to a different pill, and asthma and those damned inhalars are gone!
Hope you're well
Jon

Most antidepressants can and have been used to treat schizophrenia.
