Has anyone else ever had a problem with being on Abilify 30 mg and having their weight gain of about 5 lbs every time they stopped watching the scale? I had this problem and every time i turned around I had gained another 5 lb and everything else (meds, food intake) stayed the same. Finally quit taking it. Had to find other substitute drugs and was a long rocky road.

Yep. Same problem. Really rapid weight gain. And otherwise worked like a charm. They say abilify is one of the least likely AAPs to cause weight gain. But every body responds differently.

I stopped taking it for that reason. Managed to find another med combo that (after some rough times) works better :-)

Loved Abilify, but on only 5mg a day I gained weight! Good other than weight gain.

I've gained 7 lbs so far this week from it. Wonderful
