We are trying to figure out about bipolar 2. I have always had major depression that is caused by my OCD or vice versa. Why do you ask? Mine are:

300mg Lamictal
.75mg klonopin
150mg zoloft
300mg seroquel
30mg remeron

I have had OCD. High-dose treatment with serotonergic antidepressants and "Exposure and Response Prevention" behavior therapy have worked best. Have you tried that in combination with high-dose escitalopram, paroxetine or clomipramine?

Quote from the link above:

"With medications, generally the dose used to treat depression is not enough to control OCD symptoms. Patients often will take 2-4 times the usual amount. Behavioral therapy with medications seems to offer the best long term improvement. Virtually no treatment is curative for OCD. Most treatment can be expected to reduce symptoms by 50-80% or more, however. The illness is cyclic, and worsens when the individual is under stress."

did try anafrinal way back and Lexapro a few years ago....did not work any better than Cymbalta,,,,Cymbalta does help mu ocd and focus and mood and since we just added 2 mg of klonopin things seem to be better....thanks also Cymbalta has been somewhat weight neutral....where I did gain some weight on other ssri's and being diabetic and a cardiac patient weight is not a vanity issue but a concern.....keeping my fingers crossed.....thanx

Have you tried exposure and response prevention therapy? That could work better for OCD than drugs.
