I had frequent episodes of intense suicidal thoughts and plans. I added lamictal to parnate and noticed, after about two weeks on 200mgs, that the episodes were less frequent and not as intense and didn't last long. Other than that, I noticed nothing from lamictal. No side effects. To me, it is like taking a vitamin every morning.

I still take Lamictal, although it doesn't help my depression. But it did help with my agitation. Ironically it made me more agitated at first. I also had an unusual acne side effect. But that eventually went away.
Overall, from what I have gathered it is a pretty good med and low on the side effects. Good luck!

doesn't seem to have helped me. The first time I tried it six months ago, I felt numb and anhedonic and ultimately suicidal when I got up to 100 mg. I tried it again, this time increasing the dose more slowly; now that I'm at 100 mg I feel the same way as before even after weeks at this dose. I've been noticing a low-level uneasiness somewhere in between anxiety and akathisia. I think it's time for me to either titrate off or aggressively go higher in the hopes that something different happens.
This is the end of the thread.
