I have made it clear to my T that I much prefer natural remedies if at all possible. She wants to start me on Lithium soon and claims it is only a natural salt.
I would like some input from others who might know if this is the case.
Thanks so much!

Lithium is an element. It is listed on the periodic table of elements. It was found in nature rather than something that people made by shooting protons into elements or whatever it is that they do...
'Natural' could mean a whole bunch of different things...
But the discovery that Lithium was fairly effective for some people was revolutionary in the history of psychiatry. It is typically considered the model or paradigmatic case of successful prescriptive treatment.

...the doses used for many conditions, especially if you're on the (hypo)manic end of things, push it kinda far...as in, you'll need regular blood work to prevent toxicity.
I personally have avoided lithium so far, just bc it scares the hell out of me. Kidney problems seem to be fairly common after long term use (at least at anti-manic doses...I think lower doses are used in depression).
I wish you the best of luck.
This is the end of the thread.
