I used Saphris for about a year, in combination with Pristiq to treat a long depressive episode that wasn't responding to Lexapro and Abilify. I do feel it helped, although because of the combination it could have just been the Pristiq I don't know, I was started on both at the same time. herpills

What were the reasons why an AP was chosen as a treatment for you?
Why was Saphris chosen?
Thanks.
If you experience residual depression with your current treatment, what are your symptoms?
Have you thought to add Wellbutrin to the Pristiq and Saphris?

A friend of mine who suffers from schizoaffective disorder has responded well to the addition of Saphris in her treatment regime. It seems to be energizing and perhaps antidepressant. She also takes Wellbutrin and Seroquel.

Wellbutrin isn't an option because it makes me anxious.
Residual depression symptoms for me include low energy, lack of interest in work/activities, hard time focusing, insomia...low mood is usually a minor symptom in this case.

1. Provigil?
2. Vyvanse?
3. nortriptyline?Effexor + nortriptyline came pretty close to producing a robust improvement in my bipolar depression. Pristiq would probably work better than Effexor.
Did Seroquel help with the insomnia?

I remember Seroquel making me tired, but wasn't on it long enough to see how it would effect my insomnia.

I really couldn't say. I have seen Strattera work miracles with someone who had ADD. It even resolved his feelings of depression. I don't know how well it would work for someone who does not have ADD. It did nothing for me. My concentration at baseline is horrendous.
