Agranulocytosis, perhaps?
Trileptal might be a better choice. As the sister drug of Tegertol, it works well as a mood stabilizer, as well as an agent to treat anger and impulsivity.
I think one must be careful in how he interprets the statistics of relative efficacy. It often occurs that for any one individual, Tegretol and Depakote do not work equally well.

Tegretol causes agranulcytosis? Greg's Brother has been on it for over 25 years for seizures? I don't think his doc checks this a military hospital. Also he's had a stroke. Any connection? Phillipa

What kind of evidence are you looking for?
Perhaps you misunderstood me. I was trying to make the point that for any one person, these two drugs may not be interchangeable. If you can produce evidence that both drugs work equally well in everyone, I would be interested in reviewing it. It might very well be that out of 100 people treated, each drug works on 50 of them - just not the same 50.
