Tramadol ER works really for me. Once a day. Never had the dysphoric side effect mentioned. No escalation either.

Beckett do you take it with an SSRI? As still do take the low doses? Thanks Phillipa

Not right now. But I have taken Tramadol ER with Pristiq and Cymbalta at the same time. Most docs are concerned with seizures not ssri syndrome. MAOI 's and Tramadol are contraindicated.

I'd try it Phillipa - I have taken tramadol with a moderate dose of SSRI with no problems.
