for depresdpsion**
i know its not yet approved for depression, but are they currently using it off-label for depression?
also, if they are using it for depresdion outside of trials, and say they place the electrode in a certain are of the brain like the Nucleus Accumbens and it does not help, would they place the
electrodes in another part if the brain? or even reoperate if they had to? sort of like a trial and error. im sure if they do this then theyd charge more if they relocated the electrodes after they closed you up.

yeah i dont really like the thoughtof it either. butit looks like its coming down to DBSfor me. im just hoping if i have it done and they put the electrodes ina certain spot, and if it doesnt help, that they would try itagain in a different area. i just cant think of any other options, i cant just stay like i am

DBS is reversible and if a more effective location were to be discovered later down the track the electrodes could be repositioned accordingly.
