Hi all,
I've started on 50mg Luvox recently.
I'm keen on working out and getting as lean as I can. Will Luvox hold me back on achieving this? I know some people gain on SSRIs (or find it difficult to lose) but it seems reports say Luvox is more like Prozac in that it's pretty neutral.
Is this true? Will I still be able to lose fat while taking it, if my diet is in check?
Thanks for any help!

For depression with OCD qualities. Tried Prozac, made me horribly anxious. Most concerned about weight (gain or affecting ability to lose) so thoughts on that would be great from those with experience.

Been on Luvox 14 yrs, 100 mg last 5 months, lower doses before, still leaner than ever, though I'm very active and exercise a lot.

It was working for a few years on 50 mg. I made the stupid mistake of dropping down to see what happens and had a relapse and now 100 mg even doesn't seem to do the trick.
The medical community needs to warn patients that weening off an SSRI may mean it might not work when you try it again.

As you age the doses of the meds go down.

No just that docs use lower doses of meds after age 65.
