recently ran into an old friend- he is being treated for schizo/bipolar....is on 4 mg of klonopin daily(divided) 2000 mg depakote(divided) 20 mg of abilify and 20 mg of sedated....seemed quite lethargic....without knowing the whole history do anyone think this is towards the high end of treatment?

If diagnosis correct a mood stabalizer, antipsychotic are definites. Why the klonopin? And what was the 20 mg you mentioned didn't name a med? Phillipa

he lives in a group home...was out with his dad....and i think the 4mg og klonopin are probably for aggression

high doses of abilify,depakote/zyprexa/klonopin seems a lot to me...i guess the only way to know if he needs that much would be to see how he is without some of them...i would have my doubts

What does the parent say? Was he violent or manic before the meds? How long on them at the time you saw him? Phillipa
