I considered putting this on the Alternative board, but I know this one gets more traffic.
I need to take Vitamin D (1,000 IU's to start), and I'd like suggestions for a really good brand.
Thanks!

It does help around menses. I just take the Naturemade magnesium oxide. Ive read that is not the best form. Its affordable however, and seems to work for me.

I take 300mg of magnesium citrate. It's vitamin shoppe brand and is relatively inexpensive. The citrate they say is earier to assimilate. Take it for other purpose though. P

Wow, that's great! Which brand? Do you take it with food? Morning or evening?
Thanks,

NOW Foods is my favorite brand, they're some of the highest quality and they're pretty cheap.

Bryn
Vitacost make excelent quality products at very good prices.
If you think you're deficient in vitamin d, you will need more than 1000iu per day to replenish body stores, could i suggest 5000iu per day for the first month or two, then 1000iu per day to keep your levels up.

Thanks for the feedback folks. They're about to open a huge natural foods store across the street from me, so I'll be able to check out all of your suggestions.
