V. anderbilt research hospital or Amen Clinic.
Vanderbilt, my doctor said, does a PET scan and Amen Clinic does a SPECT scan. She said Vanderbilt does a lot if other tests, too. While i,'m not so sure about about Amen Clinic.
I'm afraid if I go to Amen clinic, that what ever the SPECT scan shows, there may be no tools(medicines) to fix it.I don't know how detailef a PET scan is, but I figure if a PET scan doesn't show the problem, then they may figure it out another way

I've had a spect scan done...they inject you with nuclear....radioactive...im not sure but its a radiating substance that helps the scan see a up close view of the brain.
Get the PET scan, SPECT is really silly scan it doesnt really have much medical evidence that it works....
Go to Vanderbelt and get the results transferred to amen clinic...
diffrence is that medical research over anaylize things, and they can be silly in their theories and give you the wrong medication....where as the amen clinic can write you a presciption vary fast...and vary good ones too....in my view the research place will give you something like tegretol for abnormalies....amen is full of generous psychiatrists....and will be happy to write the script too...

I guess I'd follow my pdocs advise and go to Vanderbuilt. She/He must know which is best. Did you google both also to get a feel for them. And location would also be a factor for me. Phillipa

Actually my pdoc wants me to go to Amen clinic. She mentioned both as good options but she likes Amen better. It just seems that Amen clinic is a more for profit business. While Vanderbilt it built on government funding and it has a very good reputation. But my pdoc is very interested in the SPECT scan, and so am I. I know it is more detailed.
Tough decision.
