Metabolic Acidosis

Posted by ChicagoKat on January 9, 2013, at 16:17:33

I'm wondering if any of you smart people can answer a question for me. It's rather obscure, but I thought I'd try.

I have beenn getting metabolic acidosis in the afternoons for the past couple of days. (High rate of breathing, plus Tums makes it go away) I was wondering if any of you knew if any of my meds could be causing it.

These are my current meds:
Wellbutrin 100mg/day
Tegretol 100mg/day
Elavil 50mg qhs
atenolol 75 mg qd
Prevacid 40mg qd
Klonopin 1mg qid prn
Tylenol q6h prn
gabapentin 300mg tid (weaning off)

Thanks,
Kat

Kat have you had blood or urine tests to confirm this? Do you diabetes? Could be from the healing of kidneys? I tried a few searches to link Tums. Found Phosphoros can I think be raised. But only meds were Aspirin? I have no idea? Phillipa

Tegretol?

Take a look at Trileptal.
